Real-Time Team Messaging

Direct Messages (DMs) are private conversations between you and one or more specific people. Channels are shared spaces for team discussions - public channels are open to all team members, while private channels require an invitation.

Click the "+" button next to the Channels section in the sidebar. Give your channel a name and description, choose whether it should be public or private, and invite members. Public channels are visible to everyone in your organization.

Yes! You can share images (up to 10MB) and files (up to 20MB) in any conversation or channel. Use the attachment button in the message input, or simply drag and drop files into the chat.

Type @ followed by a team member's name to mention them. They'll receive a special notification and see a badge on the conversation. Mentions are a great way to get someone's attention in a busy channel.

By default, you get notifications for DMs and mentions. For channels, you can customize notification settings: receive all messages, only mentions, or mute completely. Desktop and push notifications can be enabled for real-time alerts.
